With 25 years of experience as a performer and 15 years of experience as a teacher, Ivan Fritzen is an accomplished violinist, music educator, producer and researcher.

He began his musical studies at the age of 5 and holds a bachelor's degree in violin and a master's degree in musicology.

Throughout his career, he has demonstrated his versatility by performing with classical orchestras, as well as with rock, country, tango, jazz and romani (“gypsy") bands.

One of the most notable highlights of his career was his participation in a concert by Icelandic singer Björk in São Paulo, which took place during the Primavera Sound Festival.

He is an experienced private violin teacher who has worked with students ranging in age from 6 to 77. He is passionate about teaching and believes that, with clear and patient guidance, anyone of any age can learn to play the violin.

He is the author of a book on indigenous chants in northwestern Argentina and the founder, director, singer, and violinist of Baxtale! Romani Music Research Group and the Hungarian Band of São Paulo.
